Sevin Diker defends her master thesis
 

Sevim Diker has successfully defended her Master’s thesis titled “Synthesis of New Materials with Strong Spin–Orbit Coupling” under the supervision of Thomas Doert (TU Dresden) and Eteri Svanidze (MPI CPfS). Her work focused on new materials containing bismuth and mercury, with the aim of discovering new superconducting systems in a previously unexplored chemical space. Her synthesis efforts led to the discovery of several intriguing phases, and a resulting publication is currently in preparation. We congratulate Sevim on her success!
