Poster Prize for Ginevra Lautizi at the European School of Magnetism!

August 31, 2026

A huge congratulations to Ginevra, a postdoc in the Spin3D group, who won a poster prize at the European School of Magnetism held in Uppsala, Sweden this year!

The European School of Magnetism is a long-running school, which brings together around 100 students and postdocs from across Europe and the world for two weeks, for a selection of lectures and tutorials held by experts in the field.

Ginevra won the poster prize for her work on hard X-ray nanotomography of bulk permanent magnets, where by exploiting spectroscopic features, she has been able to image the internal configuration of samples of tens of micrometres in thickness – an order of magnitude thicker than previously possible! These measurements were performed at the MAX IV laboratory in Lund, Sweden, in collaboration with colleagues from Argonne National Laboratory – and will be written up soon!

Congratulations again Ginevra!!
