Advances in Electron Spectroscopy - Experiment and Theory

  • Start: Apr 14, 2019
  • End: Apr 17, 2019
  • Host: Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids
Advances in Electron Spectroscopy - Experiment and Theory (AESET 2019)

This is the third conference in a series following up on the very successful and vital AESET 2013 in Göttingen, Germany, and the AESET 2016 at IIT Mandi, India.

As its predecessors the AESET 2019 conference is devoted to electronic structure investigations of materials, with particular focus on:

  • Angle and spin resolved photoemission
  • Two photon photoemission
  • Scanning Tunnelling spectroscopy
  • Electronic structure calculations
  • Density functional theory
  • Dynamical mean field theory

The materials of interest range from transition metal compounds (e.g. oxides, pnictides, sulfides) to f-electron systems (heavy fermion compounds, f-electron Mott insulators etc.). Both experimental and theoretical work will be highlighted. The presentations consist primarily of invited talks.

The conference will be hosted by the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids, Dresden.
