Child Care

Children of MPI employees ranging from the ages one to six, have placement rights in the nursery school called “Naseweis” (situated near the institute) and in the nursery school “Baumgeister”.

Parent-Child Area

There is a parent-child office for infant care available in the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids.

Refunding of childcare costs after business trips and trainings

If an MPI employee has been taking part in trainings, there is the possibility of receiving refunds for all childcare costs which had to be arranged in the evenings or during weekends upon request (Administration). Additionally for business trips, the MPI subsidizes arising expenses for childcare (for children up to 14 years) at the place of residence under certain conditions (max. of 86,40€ per day, and 600€ per year).
