Our former PhD student Qun Yang, who graduated with a “Summa Cum Laude” doctoral degree in Chemistry in 2021, has been awarded the “2021 Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad” by the China Scholarship Council.
Being a theoretical scientist with research interest mainly in the theory and modeling of the physical and chemical properties of materials, she joined the group of Claudia Felser in 2018, well-known for her interdisciplinary research at the interface of physics, chemistry, and materials science.
This spring, Qun has started a postdoc stay at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel.
We warmly congratulate Qun to this award and wish her all the best for her further career.
