22th Dresden Science Night

We take part of it!

June 20, 2023

‘The night that makes you smarter!’ is the translation of the german motto ‘Die Nacht, die schlauer macht!’ is  of the 22nd Dresden Long Night of Science on 20 June 2025. Throughout the city, scientific institutions will open their doors and invite visitors to experience science and technology, research and innovation, art and culture up close.

The Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids is also opening its doors. Once again, the staff have put together an extensive programme for an evening of adventure at the MPI CPfS.

Here you'll find:

  • More than eight experiments and hands-on stations where you can experience science live. Scientists present their research findings there. Or you can try out small experiments for yourself.
  • The Science meets Design exhibition offers a unique opportunity to look at the world of science from a new perspective. Scientists at the institute showed their research to design students, who created posters that are not only informative but also aesthetically pleasing.
  • Guided tours of our institute's infrastructure.
  • Opportunities to learn, ask questions, discuss and marvel, where you can satisfy your curiosity.

For all age groups

Our programmes are suitable for all age groups. Whether you are big or small, young or old - there is something for everyone!

Come and discover the world of science!

A personalised itinerary for your own 22nd Dresden Long Night of Science can be put together on the event website. Our detailed programme with background information on the stations can also be found there as soon as you select the MPI Chemical Physics of Solids under “Choose an organiser”.
