By car

From the motorway A4 change to the A17-Prag at the interchange "Dresden-West". At the exit "Dresden-Südvorstadt" follow the B170 in the direction of "Stadtmitte" for about 2.5km, until the second large crossing (signposted "Plauen"). Turn left onto Nöthnitzer Straße. The institute (with a pink wall at the entrance) is about 600m down the street on the left hand side.
From the inner city follow the signs A17 (B170 - Prag). The B170 crosses the campus of the Dresden Technical University. Follow the sign "Plauen" at the next junction and turn right into Nöthnitzer Straße.

Parking:
Please use the drive named "Anlieferung MPI-CPfS" and park on the signed area.

By Train

From both railway stations Hauptbahnhof Dresden and Bahnhof Dresden-Neustadt the tram line 3 (destination Coschütz) will take you to the stop Nöthnitzer Straße. Turn to the left into the Nöthnitzer Straße and pass the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems (building with wooden front). The Institute is located in the next building on the right side of the street (the façade is of glass and pink render at the entrance area).

By plane

Take the S-Bahn line 2 to the Dresden Central Station (Hauptbahnhof Dresden). From there take tram line 3 at the stop outside the station with the destination Coschütz. Get off at the stop Nöthnitzer Straße. Turn to the left into the Nöthnitzer Straße and pass the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems (building with wooden front). The Institute is located in the next building on the right side of the street (the façade is of glass and pink render at the entrance area).

The single ticket "price area Dresden" is available at one of the vending machines at the stops (journey time about 45 min).
