Faculty positions for members of Solid State Chemistry Department
Three group leaders from the Solid State Chemistry Department headed by Claudia Felser will continue their scientific career as faculty members of renowned universities or research institutions.
Dr Jacob Gayles was working at MPI CPfS within the Topological Transport Theory group and became group leader of the project “Skyrmionics”. Jacob joined in August the Department of Physics at the University of South Florida, USA, as an Assistant Professor.
Dr Chenguang Fu joined MPI CPfS as an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow. His research area was thermoelectrics and he became group leader of the Thermoelectrics & Topology project. Chenguang will take up a ZJU100 Young Professor position at Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, PR China, in October.
Dr. Kaustuv Manna was working on crystal growth and transport studies of topological materials and was leading the project “Magnetic Topological Materials”. Kaustuv will join in November the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi as an Assistant Professor.
The three scientists intend to continue their fruitful research cooperation with the Solid State Chemistry Department and we wish them a successful future at their new destination.
