Obituary Prof. Dr. Harald Hillebrecht

We received the news that Prof. Dr Harald Hillebrecht (University of Freiburg) had  passed away on 26 October 2024. Prof. Hillebrecht was a valued member of our Scientific Advisory Board from 2012 to 2017.

The directors and staff of the MPI CPfS knew him as a inspiring, but critical discussion partner. Quite a few of them have experienced him at lectures and discussions at conferences and meetings in the field of solid state chemistry, got to know him at common stations of their and his scientific career and appreciated him as a reviewer of their scientific work.

The directors and staff of the Institute are deeply saddened by the death of Professor Dr. Harald Hillebrecht and mourn together with his family and friends.
