Offers for scientists

The Max Planck Society has established two programs to support Ukrainian scientists. In addition to these offers, the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids participates in the Ukraine Scientific Scholarship Program Dresden (UKRAPRO).

Ukraine Scientific Scholarship Dresden
Our institute and the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems (MPI PKS) supports the initative of the Kyiv Academic University (KAU), the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden (IFW), and the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR).
The scholarship program should support Ukrainian scientists who had to leave their home country as a result of the invasion by the Russian army. It is designed to enable them to continue their research work for at least a limited time in Dresden. In addition to using our own funds, we coordinate funding from the Leibniz Association, the Volkswagen Foundation and the Free State of Saxony.  more
Max Planck Partner Groups
The Max Planck Society offers Ukrainian postdocs to lead a research group in Ukraine or, if they had to flee due to the war, to continue their research abroad. more
Cooperation and Mobility Grant
The EIRENE Fellowships support Ukrainian researchers working in Ukraine in cooperation with a Max Planck Institute. more
Aid package to Ukraine
"We are facing special challenges," emphasised President Stratmann at today's meeting of the Senate, at which he further detailed accommodation options and a special fund for Ukrainian scientists. more
