The Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation awards funding through the Plus 3 Perspectives program to Dr. Eteri Svanidze, group leader of the REALM group at MPI CPfS. Through this highly coveted program, she will receive independent funding, which is aimed at supporting outstanding junior group leaders during their first appointment.

The research work of Dr. Svanidze focuses on understanding the complex relationship between chemistry and physics in actinide- and lanthanide-based materials. The Plus 3 funding scheme adds time, freedom, and flexibility to reach full scientific potential, to advance and develop her research profile. It thereby creates the best conditions for long-term-prospects in an optimal research environment.

The Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization committed to the promotion of the medical, biological, chemical and pharmaceutical sciences. It was established in 1977 by Hubertus Liebrecht (1931-1991), a member of the shareholder family of the company Boehringer Ingelheim. With the Plus 3 Perspectives Program, the foundation supports independent group leaders.
