W2 promotion for Elena Gati

We offer our warm congratulations to Dr Elena Gati, who has been promoted to a W2 position (the German equivalent of associate professor) in the Physics of Quantum Materials department.

Elena’s expertise and interests center on studying the elastic properties of quantum materials.  After her doctoral research at the Goethe University Frankfurt, she spent three years as a Postdoctoral fellow at Ames National Laboratory in the USA, before joining our Institute in 2021.  Since coming to Dresden, she has established a group specializing in ac elastic measurements, collaborating closely with colleagues from universities across Germany and further afield.  We anticipate a stream of great results from her new W2 group!

 APM
