New Lise Meitner Research Group at the MPI CPfS
The Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids welcomes Dr. Claire Donnelly as group leader of a newly established Lise Meitner Research Group at the MPI CPfS!
With her group "Spin3D: Three-dimensional magnetic systems", Dr. Claire Donnelly will study three-dimensional magnetic systems on different length scales. These scales range from micrometre-sized systems, where topological structures analogous to everyday objects are observed, to the nanoscale, where structuring magnetic materials in three dimensions can control their properties.
In 2018, the Max Planck Society established the Lise Meitner Excellence Programme to attract and specifically promote exceptionally qualified female scientists. The Lise Meitner groups will be provided with full resources for their entire five-year duration.
