Appointment to professorship for Haijing Zhang 

Warm congratulations to Dr Haijing Zhang, who has been appointed to a professorship at Southeast University in Nanjing, China.

Haijing received her PhD from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and came to the MPI CPfS in Dresden via Geneva as a postdoctoral researcher.  In Dresden, she has headed the ‘Electrolyte Gating and Quantum Transport’ group in the Department of Quantum Matter Physics since October 2019. After more than six very successful years in Dresden, she will take up her new position at the beginning of 2026, and we wish her all the best for an exciting future there. At the same time, Haijing will remain affiliated to the institute as a guest group leader, and we look forward to continued successful scientific collaboration.
